Sheer Khurma is one of the sweet dishes which is usually prepared during Eid and served after prayers . It’s specialty is that it contains ‘Dates‘ which is generally not a part of any other Korma or Khurma or Khorma. It is almost like Sevaiyan but the addition of Dates in the sevaiyan makes the difference and bring all the magical taste in it. I usually get Sheer Khurma/Korma from my friend’s but on this Eid, my friends were not in the city, so couldn’t get it from anywhere. Since I was craving for it and hence I called them, got the recipe and here I am…. with the delicious Sheer Khurma enrich with loads of dry fruits.

1. Cut all the dry fruits and fry it in a pan using ghee on low flame. Once it is fried, take it out in a separate plate. This is done so as to get nice flavor to the dish.

2. Roast Vermicelli in a same pan and take it out in a plate .

3. Boil 1 liter of milk in a deep pot , add sugar to it and boil it on high flame. Once it starts boiling, lower the flame on medium and boil it for another 10 mins. This will help the milk to get thicken.

4. Add the vermicelli and cook until it becomes soft. As it is very fine, it will take just a few minutes to get cooked.

5. Once the vermicelli is cooked, add the dates and cook it for few minutes.

6. Add fried dry fruits and cook it for 2 to 3 mins on lower flame.

7. Your Sheer Korma will be ready by now. Add more dry fruits and few strands of Saffron on the top of the sheer korma for decoration. Serve it hot and enjoy this exotic dessert 🙂
